Division

Engineering

Lequent Engineering advises on the build and, where the mandate calls for it, does the build. Seven units cover data, AI and analytics, cloud and infrastructure, cybersecurity and digital trust, operational technology and automation, product and materials engineering, electronics and embedded systems, and software engineering and integration. The span is deliberate, because frontier products rarely stay inside one discipline.

01 / Overview

What this is.

Frontier products rarely stay inside one discipline. A connected medical device is embedded electronics, materials, cloud, data pipelines, cybersecurity and regulatory evidence at once, and the seams between them are where projects usually break.

This division is organised to hold all of it. Data, AI & Analytics covers the models and the pipelines feeding them. Cloud & Infrastructure covers where it runs and what it costs to keep running. Cybersecurity & Digital Trust covers the controls and the assurance behind them. Operational Technology & Automation covers plant and factory floor, where the constraints are physical and downtime is expensive. Product & Materials Engineering and Electronics & Embedded Systems cover the hardware. Software Engineering & Integration makes the parts talk to each other.

Depending on the mandate, the division advises or delivers. Some clients want architecture, technical due diligence and vendor selection, then run the build themselves. Others want engineers who will write the code, specify the materials and see it into production. Both are normal here, and it is worth settling which one you need early.

Typical mandates: technical due diligence ahead of an investment, an architecture and migration programme, a security uplift before certification, a prototype taken to manufacturable design, or an integration between systems that were never meant to meet.
