Cybersecurity & Digital Trust

Our Cybersecurity & Digital Trust unit builds and tests the controls. The scope covers security architecture, identity and access, zero-trust design, penetration testing and red teaming, incident response readiness, and the technical evidence behind certifications such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2. Our legal units own the regulatory obligations; this unit makes the security real.

01 / Overview

What this is.

A control that has been documented and never tested is a liability with a certificate attached. Most breaches we are called into were not sophisticated. An identity nobody deprovisioned, a service account with permissions from a project that ended, a backup that had never been restored.

This unit builds and tests the real thing. Security architecture and segmentation. Identity and access management, which is where most of the practical risk sits. Zero-trust design applied where it earns its cost rather than everywhere at once. Penetration testing and red teaming against your actual environment, and incident response readiness rehearsed before it is needed.

Certification is a by-product handled properly. ISO 27001, SOC 2 and sector schemes need technical evidence, and evidence generated by working controls is cheaper than evidence assembled for an audit. Enterprise buyers increasingly test this themselves during procurement.

The division of labour with our lawyers is clean: this unit makes the security work, while Regulatory & Compliance and IP, Data & AI Governance own the obligations, notifications and positions.

Typical mandates: a security uplift before certification or a large contract, penetration testing and remediation, an identity and access rebuild, incident response readiness, or diligence on a target’s security posture.
