The scope covers schematic and PCB design, embedded firmware, sensing and signal processing, power and thermal management, connectivity, and compliance testing for EMC and safety. Certification requirements shape these decisions early, so we design against them rather than discovering them at test.

What this is.
Certification is not a stage at the end of a hardware project. It is a set of constraints that should have shaped the schematic. Products that discover EMC or safety requirements at the test house lose months and often need a new board.
This unit designs the electronics and the software inside them. Schematic capture and PCB layout, including the layout discipline that determines whether a board passes emissions testing. Embedded firmware, from bare metal to real-time operating systems. Sensing and signal processing where the useful signal is small and the environment is noisy. Power and thermal management, usually the binding constraint on anything battery-powered.
Connectivity brings its own decisions: which radio, which stack, what happens when the link drops, and how a device in the field gets updated securely for the next decade. Update capability designed in later is rarely designed in well.
We design against the applicable EMC, safety and radio requirements from the start, and work with Product & Materials Engineering on enclosure, thermal path and mechanical integration.
Typical mandates: a new board and firmware, a redesign after failed compliance testing, a sensing or power problem in an existing product, or bringing an outsourced design back under control.
