Employment & Labour Law
Our Employment & Labour Law unit covers the workforce side. The scope includes contracts and executive terms, equity and incentive schemes, works council and union consultation, restructurings and exits, cross-border hiring and mobility, and disputes. Technical companies concentrate value in a small number of people, which makes retention and confidentiality terms commercially material.

What this is.
Technical companies concentrate enormous value in a small number of people. That makes employment terms commercial terms: who owns what they invent, what they can take with them, how long they are locked in, and whether the equity that keeps them actually works as intended.
This unit covers the workforce side. Contracts and executive terms, including IP assignment and confidentiality provisions that hold up in the relevant jurisdiction rather than the one the template came from. Equity and incentive schemes designed with our tax unit, so the arrangement is efficient for the company and comprehensible to the employee.
Collective and cross-border matters follow as companies grow. Works council and union consultation where it applies, restructurings and exits handled in the correct sequence, and cross-border hiring where remote employment creates tax, social security and permanent establishment exposure nobody intended.
Disputes and grievances are handled here too, and coordinated with our investigations unit where the facts are contested.
Typical mandates: an equity or incentive scheme, a senior hire or exit, a restructuring or collective consultation, cross-border hiring in a new market, or a dispute with a departing employee over IP or competition.
